I desperately want to be one of those middle aged women who embraces every creeping wrinkle on her face. Who celebrates the silver in her hair and the still-slight but discernable downward droop of the skin right above the eye lid.
I have always planned to be that woman, too cool and too together to be bothered by such minor signs of aging. That, of course, was before those supposed “minor signs” starting showing up on MY face. They were easy to laugh off in theory, but now they are reality. And, as the saying goes, reality bites.
